2. PRINCIPAL AERODROMES ATLAS

The ATLAS of ASECNA principal aerodromes includes :

 

- ICAO approach and visual landing chart

- ICAO approach and instrument landing chart of the principal aerodromes of the Member States of the Agency enumerated in the preceding chapter

 

 

The preparation and the realization of the Atlas charts of ASECNA Aerodromes take into consideration, as far as possible, the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARP) stipulated in the following ICAO documents:

- Appendix 15

- DOC 8126  AN/872

- DOC 8697  AN/889

- DOC 8168 OPS/611

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE CHARTS TYPES INCLUDED IN THE ATLAS

VISUAL APPROACH AND LANDING CHARTS "principal Aerodromes"

1°/ Visual approach chart

Projection LAMBERT WAC (Aeronautical Chart of the World)

WAC (Carte Aéronautique du  Monde)

Scale 1/250.000 (in theory)

Format of the charts: 297 mm X 210 mm

Designation of the charts by their name

 

Each chart is published into 1, 2 or 3 colors:
- honest black or attenuated black: melts of chart and preparing,
- light blue: hydrography,
- dark blue: aeronautical information.

 

Chart designed to allow the approach on an aerodrome by visual location.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2°/Visual landing chart

Conical projection conforms of LAMBERT

Scale 1/25.000 (in theory)

Format of the charts: 297 mm X 210 mm

Designation of the charts by their name

 

Chart printed into 1, 2 or 3 colors:
-  honest black or attenuated black: melts of chart and preparing
-  light blue: hydrography
- dark blue: aeronautical information, routes and circuits VFR, dimension of altitude
